11.1.7 Overview of what is coming: Legacy of Arathor

Prepare to elevate your gaming experience with our upcoming content update, Legacy of Arathor. This update promises to intensify the excitement with features like Overcharged Delves, a new Combat Assistant, and a Single-Button Assistant among other enhancements!

New Campaign in the Arathi Highlands

As the focus shifts from Khaz Algar, a brewing conflict stirs in the Arathi Highlands. Heightening tensions between the Horde and Alliance lead you to join characters Faerin and Danath in an effort to ease the escalating strife. This new multi-quest campaign consists of two chapters, offering players a chance to experience the story from each faction's perspective.Players can look forward to earning unique rewards for their participation, including:

  • Alliance: Stromgarde Tabard

  • Horde: Mag'har Tabard

  • A Shoulder Transmog inspired by Faerin’s own pauldrons.

Before venturing into the Arathi Highlands, immerse yourself in the Heartlands audio novella series, comprising five parts.

Lorewalking with Lorewalker Cho

Players at level ten and above can engage with Lorewalker Cho in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Dornogal for a refreshed questing experience. This journey allows players to revisit iconic lore moments in Azeroth through both classic and new quests.Three repeatable quest chains are available:

  1. Meet the Ethereals: Venture to Netherstorm to battle Dimensius, team up with Alleria and Locus Walker in Legion, and explore the Shadowlands to meet the Brokers and access Tazavesh, including an encounter with Ve'nari.

  2. Experience Xal’atath’s Storyline: Delve into the lore surrounding the Blade of the Black Empire in Legion, witness Xal’atath's transformation during Battle for Azeroth, and journey back to the Black Empire to confront the Old Gods.

  3. Face the Past with Arthas: Return to Stratholme for a condensed retelling of the culling, experience the betrayal in Wrath of the Lich King, and step into the role of the Lich King as you face Azeroth's heroes.

While engaging in Lorewalking, players will not be able to undertake other quests but can exit at any time to return to Lorewalker Cho.

Overcharged Delves: Embrace New Challenges

Prepare for heightened danger in the Delves as we introduce a new Delve-specific affix across six locations, pushing players to achieve new feats of heroism:

  • Kreigval’s Rest

  • Skittering Breach

  • The Spiral Weave

  • Nightfall Sanctum

  • Fungal Folly

  • Sidestreet Sluice

Face new rare enemies, navigate more traps, and unlock traits in a new trait tree unique to Overcharged Delves. Choosing the right traits can transform traps from hindrances to advantages in your quest.Additional New Rewards include:

  • Titan Disc Belt: Unlock and upgrade through weekly quests.

  • New Mount: Overcharged Mech Suit.

  • New Gear and Delves Currency.

New UI Options: Combat Assistant and Single-Button Assistant

Introducing the Combat Assistant—a feature that highlights the next recommended ability based on your resources and the current situation. Designed to aid new players or those experimenting with different specializations, this option is integrated into the base UI for seamless gameplay.Additionally, the Single-Button Assistant casts the next suggested ability in the sequence, enabling players to learn new skills while maintaining a manageable global cooldown. This assistant will also recognize optimal moments for using Area of Effect (AoE) spells.These new features are aimed at lowering the entry barriers for newcomers and enhancing the experience for those exploring new characters. The Cooldown Manager introduced in the 11.1.5 content will continue to evolve alongside these updates.

The Return of the Greedy Emissary

During this content cycle, the Greedy Emissary event makes its return! Encounter these cunning emissaries in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Dornogal, and Undermine for a chance to earn new diabolical rewards, including a mount. Don’t miss out on iconic rewards, including recolors of classic Tier 2 armor sets for your characters. Armor Sets Available:

  • Shaman

  • Evoker

  • Warrior

  • Druid

  • Priest

In conjunction with this event, a Collector’s Bounty buff will enhance legacy loot drops across Azeroth, allowing players to hunt for treasures more effectively.

Turbulent Timeways: Battle for Azeroth Edition

This update will also refresh the Turbulent Timeways event, featuring Battle for Azeroth in the rotation over six weeks:

  1. Week 1: Battle for Azeroth

  2. Week 2: Mists of Pandaria

  3. Week 3: Burning Crusade

  4. Week 4: Warlords of Draenor

  5. Week 5: Legion

  6. Week 6: Battle for Azeroth

Players can explore six new Timewalking Dungeons: Atal’Dazar, Freehold, King’s Rest, Shrine of the Storm, Temple of Sethraliss, and Waycrest Manor.
