Guide: Farming Corrosive Soul Week 1 of patch 12.1

Here’s the most efficient way to farm Corrosive Souls during Week 1.

Core Weekly Sources (Do These First)

These are available once per week on every level 90 character. Prioritize them on as many alts as possible.

1. Weekly Vault of Atal’Utek Quest

• Reward: 2 Corrosive Souls

• Available once per week per level 90 character.

2. Weekly Curse Surges Quest

• Reward: 2 Corrosive Souls (from the Pinnacle Cache / Venom-Covered Chest)

• Available once per week per level 90 character.

3. The Foe in Vaults of Atal’Utek

• Reward: 1 Corrosive Soul

• Available once per week per level 90 character.

Doing all three on a single character nets 5 Corrosive Souls per week. Multiply this by the number of level 90 characters you have.

Prey (Potential Source – Check the Live Build)

Corrosive Souls were removed from Prey later in the PTR. However, they may have been added back in the newest build that is going live, so keep an eye on it.

How it worked previously:

• You could farm up to 6 Corrosive Souls per character per week from Prey.

• Souls dropped after the first two chests on each difficulty:

  • Hard difficulty (6 available) → 4 souls

  • Normal difficulty (4 available) → 2 souls

If Corrosive Souls are back on Prey in the live version, this becomes a strong additional weekly source. Check it early on the first day.

Delver’s Journal Season 2 – Level 2 (One-Time)

• Reward: 6 Corrosive Souls ,
  This is most likely one-time only (on PTR it was available to all characters)

• You can also buy Undercoin with Corrosive Souls from the delve vendor once unlocked.

Important: This requires Level 2 on the Delver’s Journal, which means you need to farm reputation first. Do not treat this as your opening activity. Work on the reputation in parallel while clearing the weekly sources above, then claim the 6 souls once Level 2 is unlocked.
