Guide to Traveling and Using Portals in Tazavesh Kesh

Are you exploring Tazavesh Kesh and want to travel efficiently? This article is a step-by-step guide based on my own YouTube walkthrough, where I, Moudi, show you how to master the portal system and get around with ease.

1. Freedom of Movement in Tazavesh Kesh

  • Mount Up and Fly
In Tazavesh Kesh, you can travel freely using your flying mount. There are no loading screens—just hop on your mount and go wherever you want.

  • Ground Travel Option
Prefer to stay grounded? You can also use a ground mount or walk if you like.

2. The Faster Way: Portal System

  • Introduction to Portals
While flying is possible, portals are the fastest way to get around. Tazavesh Kesh features a network of portals, called the "phase conduit" system, that instantly transports you between key locations.

  • How to Identify Portals

    • Mini-map Symbol: Portals are marked with a unique symbol on your mini-map.

    • World Map: When near a portal, you’ll also see its icon on the main map.

    • Name: These are labeled as “Face Conduit” portals.

3. Using Portals for Transportation

  • Activating Portals
When you approach a portal, enter the phase-diving world. You’ll see an orb—click on the orb to open the teleportation menu.

  • Teleport Destinations
A list of available destinations will appear. Some locations (like the PVP island) may not always be accessible, especially on PTR (Public Test Realm) servers.

4. Unlocking Portal Locations

  • Initial Access
The first time you use a portal, you won’t see all possible destinations.

  • How to Unlock More Portals:

    • Visit Each Portal: Travel to each portal location manually.

    • Interact to Learn: Click on each portal to “learn” it, similar to unlocking flight paths in other zones.

  • Once Unlocked:
All the portals you’ve interacted with will become available in your teleport menu for quick travel.

5. Portal Best Practices

  • Efficient Travel
When you need to get somewhere quickly (like heading to a raid at Shadowpoint), simply open the portal menu, select your destination, and teleport instantly.

  • Keep Your Map Updated
Portal locations may change between game builds, so it’s helpful to keep track or make your own map as you unlock each spot.

6. Final Tips

  • Unlock All Portals Early:
Take some time when you first arrive to unlock all available portals. This will make all future travel much more convenient.

  • Stay Flexible:
You can always use your flying mount or ground travel, but the portal system is the most efficient for long distances.
