Updated Outdoor Gear Changes in 11.1.7
Patch 11.1.7 brings exciting updates to the outdoor gear system, enhancing the way players can acquire veteran gear and Gilded Crests. These changes aim to improve the overall gameplay experience, making progression smoother and more rewarding for all players.
Veteran Gear Sources
One of the significant changes in patch 11.1.7 is the update to the sources of veteran gear. In the War Within, players can engage in 8 weekly quest activities that now provide opportunities to earn veteran gear:
Theatre Troupe
Severed Pact Activity
Spreading The Light
Awakening the Machine
Snuffling
Special Assignments
Urge to Surge
Additionally, there are 3 rotating Dornagal activities, with one available each week:

Weekly Delves

Previous System Changes
Before patch 11.1.7, players could earn a total of 2 veteran gear pieces per week from these activities. Once you obtained 2 pieces, the rewards shifted to Adventure gear. However, this system has changed in 11.1.7. Now, all these activities can reward veteran gear directly!
Benefits of the Update
This change significantly benefits players, especially those with newly leveled alternate characters who may struggle with low item levels. Previously, acquiring veteran gear from sources like Dastardly Duos could be challenging. With the new system, players can now farm 7 pieces of veteran gear directly per week.
Moreover, players will also be rewarded with Weathered and Carved Crests, Valorstones, and Relic Coffer Keys from the chest rewards associated with these weekly activities. This enhancement is excellent for upgrading gear and gaining access to better rewards in Delves.
More Gilded Crests
Another significant update in patch 11.1.7 is the increase in Gilded Crests from Delves. Completing a Tier 11 Delve will now reward players with 10 Gilded Crests instead of the previous 7, marking an increase of 3 Gilded Crests.
Weekly Cap Increase
The weekly cap for Gilded Crests has also been increased from 21 to 30, allowing players to earn more rewards. Combined with the Map buff, which previously offered 10 Gilded Crests before patch 11.1.7, players can now earn a total of 40 Gilded Crests per week, up from 31 before the update.
