Breaking: Blizzard Massively Reduces Voidlight Marl Prices in World of Warcraft Patch 12.0.7

In a major quality-of-life win for collectors, Blizzard has dramatically slashed the costs of numerous cosmetic and housing items sold for Voidlight Marl on the Public Test Realm for the upcoming Patch 12.0.7.

Popular WoW content creator Moudi captured the jaw-dropping changes in a widely viewed YouTube Short, showing side-by-side comparisons of vendor prices before and after the update.

Massive Price Reductions

Several high-end items saw extreme cuts:

Before (Old Prices):

  • Starmech Cosmic-Collapser: 4,500 Voidlight Marl

  • Tortured Gorger: 100 gold

  • Silento: 1,800 Voidlight Marl

  • Voidmancer’s Starcarver: 4,500 Voidlight Marl

  • Swamp Dweller’s Night Staff: 60 gold + 500 Marl

After (New Prices in 12.0.7):

  • Netherforged Nullframe: 15 Voidlight Marl (from thousands)

  • Tortured Gorger: 15 Voidlight Marl

  • Silento: 15 Voidlight Marl

  • Voidmancer’s Starcarver: 15 Voidlight Marl

  • Swamp Dweller’s Night Staff: 60 gold + 500 Marl (partial reduction)

  • Many other items now priced at just 15 Marl or significantly lowered (e.g., Bulging Ethereal Pack at 250 Marl)

Moudi reacted with visible shock in the video, repeatedly saying the prices had been decreased “like a lot… a lot.”

What is Voidlight Marl?

Voidlight Marl is the main currency introduced in the Midnight expansion. Players earn it through world quests, rares, delves, Prey Hunts, Ritual Sites, and other activities across new zones. It is used to purchase transmog, mounts, pets, housing decorations, and other collectibles from vendors like Kifaan.

These steep price reductions in Patch 12.0.7 make many previously expensive cosmetics far more accessible, especially for players working on multiple characters or focusing on housing and transmog completion.
