Myth Track Gear in Week One from Outdoor Content
Blizzard has shaken up gearing in the latest PTR build for World of Warcraft: Midnight, making high-end Myth track items accessible much faster through open-world activities — a first for the game.
In a new YouTube Short by content creator Moudi, players learn that the long grind for a Myth piece via the new outdoor quest has been significantly shortened. Instead of waiting four weeks for world boss drops, dedicated players can now complete the full set of requirements in the very first week of the patch.
How It Works
The key quest, "Knocking Off the Top", is offered by Decimus and rewards a piece of Myth track gear (options include Cloak, Belt, or Bracers). To complete it, players must collect 4 Void Commander's Emblems.
These emblems drop from the new Heroic World Tier world bosses:
Nexus-Captain Leth'ir (in Naigtal)
Imperator Pertinax (in Val)
Initially, many assumed this would be a slow 4-week process since world bosses typically drop their quest items once per week. However, it turns out that you will get the Emblems from other sources as well:
One is rewarded by completing the weekly quest in Val/Naigtal.
One is rewarded by completing the unity weekly quest that you get after completing the first weekly quest.
One is rewarded by completing the second unity weekly quest.
...players can gather all four emblems rapidly. As Moudi explains in the short: "In the first week, you will get your myth piece of gear. Easy."
