Everything TIMEGATED in 11.2 TWW Ghost of Karesh

Almost every major feature in WoW 11.2 is time gated, meaning you can’t access everything right away—progress is limited by weekly caps, quest pacing, or other restrictions.

The Five Tiers and Their Unlocks

• Tier System:

  • Tier 1: Basic powers, available immediately.

  • Tier 2: Also accessible in week 1 (as seen on the PTR).

  • Tier 3: Unlocks the ability to mount inside the new “Face Diving” zone, but this is time gated and not available right away. Expect frustration from the community due to all the running around required at first!

Untated Space Content is Time Gated

• Many activities in the new Untated Space zone are locked behind time gates, so you'll need to wait to access certain content or powers.

Untated Coins (Cosmetic Currency)

• Purpose: Used to purchase cosmetics (mounts, transmogs, pets, toys, etc.).

• Total Needed: To buy everything, you need 78 Untated Coins.

• Earning Rate: Only 7 coins per week.

• Result: It takes 11 weeks to earn enough coins for all available cosmetics—no known ways to speed this up.

Warrants (Mount Achievement)

• Objective: Complete a quest to kill a specific rare (one per week, per account, not per character).

• Reward: Achievement and the “Tear of the Night” mount.

• Progress: Six quests/rares total, so it takes 6 weeks to complete.

Ecological Succession (Echo Dome Project)

• Activity: Progress through an environmental questline.

• Time Gated: Takes about 4 weeks to finish.

• Rewards: Only achievements (including a meta achievement), no mounts or power rewards.

Objectives & Mount Collection

• Zone Objectives: There are four objectives, each with an end rare that drops a collectible item.

• Requirement: Need 20 of each item for a mount.

• Time Gated: Takes 5 weeks (account-bound, not per character).

Delves System

• Hero Gear Unlock: Locked behind Delve Journal level 2.

• Progress: Requires reputation from “Boundful Delves.”

  • You get 4 delves per day.

  • Reputation mainly from “coffee key chests”—5 per week.

• Alt Trick: Can speed up a bit by doing on multiple alts, provided they’re geared enough for higher delves.

Other Standard Time Gates

• Other content in the patch follows the usual time gating—weekly quest progression, rep gains, etc.

Is There Any Player Power Time Gated?

• Delves is the Only Power-Locked System:

  • Only Delves (and its reputation/power progression) affects your character’s strength.

  • All other time gates are for cosmetics (mounts, transmogs, pets, toys, achievements).
