Patch 11.2.5 Preview: Legion Remix Returns, Turbo-Boost Upgrades & More
As World of Warcraft gears up for its 11.2.5 patch, players can look forward to a wave of exciting new features, upgrades, and quality-of-life improvements. Here’s a detailed look at what’s coming soon to Azeroth and beyond.
Legion Remix: A Time-Limited Adventure
The fan-favoriteLegion Remixevent is back! This special, seasonal mode lets players roll a "Timerunner"—a fresh character based on one of the original 12 Legion classes—and relive the entire Legion expansion from level 10 to 80. The catch? Everything is faster, loot is plentiful, and there are unique twists to gameplay.
No Expansion Purchase Needed: Anyone with a WoW subscription or game time can jump in, even if they don’t own the latest expansions. Classic players are welcome, and trial accounts can level up to 20 for free.
Big Bronze Boosts: Key activities now reward more Bronze, helping you unlock pets, mounts, and transmog gear quicker than ever.
Bronze Caches: Substantially increased rewards
Infinite Research Quests: +1,000 Bronze bonus
Emissary & Special Assignments: 4,000 Bronze each
World Quests: 200 Bronze each
Turbo-Boost: Warband Gearing Supercharged
Season 3 of The War Within arrives with the much-anticipatedTurbo-Boostsystem, making it easier and faster to gear up your Warband.
Upgrade Tracks Extended: Hero and Myth upgrade tracks now allow up to 8 upgrades (up from 6). Crafted items can be re-crafted with an Augmentation Matrix for even more power.
Crest & Valorstones Changes: Starting the week of October 21, the Crest cap is gone, and Valorstones become Warbound for the rest of the season. Plus, Mythic+ drop rates for Warband-Until-Equipped gear are doubled.
Ethereal Voidsplinters: These can now be earned in Mythic+ dungeons, Manaforge Omega, Delves, and rated PvP—fueling the Catalyst for more powerful items.
New Quests & Rewards: Two new quests task players with defeating raid bosses or completing Mythic+ dungeons for Puzzling Cartel Chips, redeemable for powerful gear and trinkets from Fixer So’kir and Fixer So’tho in Dornogal.
Delve Upgrades: Look forward to increased Delver's Journey progress, more Crests, and extra rewards, including Champion and Hero track equipment at higher tiers.
Item & Balance Adjustments
D.I.S.C. Belt Nerfs: The following abilities have had their damage and stat effects reduced by 20%: Charged Bolts, Charged Crystal, Critical Chain, Electric Current, Spark Burst, and Static Charge.
Twilight Oath: Mark of the Twilight Oath can now be safely deleted from your inventory.
User Interface & Accessibility Enhancements
Cooldown Manager Overhaul: A new frame lets players organize, reorder, and hide spells and buffs, now neatly categorized as Essential, Utility, or Hidden. Customize your cooldown display through Edit Mode or the Options Menu.
Recent Allies Tab: The Social frame now includes a Recent Allies tab, showing players you’ve recently teamed up with. You can also hide your location from these allies if you prefer.
UI Improvements: Edit Mode now highlights frames when you hover over their names, and the Spellbook search bar suggests Assisted Rotation spells. There are also better prompts for dungeon abandonment and improved addon support for group reporting.
Move Pad Upgrade: The Move Pad now supports Press and Hold, making movement easier and more responsive.
