11.2 World Quests Just Got Insane! TWW - Ghost of Karesh
World Quest Changes in Patch 11.2: What’s New and How It Works
Phasing vs. Non-Phasing World Quests
All World Quests Now Visible:
In previous builds, you could only see world quests relevant to your current phase (phasing or non-phasing). Now, all world quests are shown on your map, but you’ll need to mouse over each to see if it’s phasing or non-phasing. For example, a quest labeled “phase diving” can only be completed while in that phase. If you’re not in the correct phase, you can’t do the quest, even though it’s visible.Personal Preference:
Some players preferred the old system where only relevant quests were shown, as it was less cluttered and less confusing.
World Quest Rotation and Frequency
Number and Reset:
There are 11 world quests in Kesh, and they reset twice a week (every 3.5 days). When the reset happens, most old quests disappear and new ones appear.Special Assignments:
There are also special assignment quests in Kesh with unique rewards.
Weekly Rewards Overview (Kesh Example)
For one character, in a typical week of Kesh world quests, you can expect:
750 reputation for Kesh
4 pieces of adventure gear
~200 Valor Stones
~6,000 gold
20–25 Coffee Key Shards
Note:
The “Force of Imitation” reward is account-wide, so alts will get Resonance Crystals instead.
The gold rewards are particularly high compared to previous patches.
Gear Rewards and Upgrades
Kesh World Quests:
Adventure Gear (item level 655–678)
Upgrade path: Valor Stones up to 665, then Valor Stones + Weather Quests to 678
Outside Kesh:
Only Explorer Gear (item level 642–665)
Upgraded with Valor Stones only
Rest of War Within zones only offer Explorer Gear as world quest rewards
Coffee Key Shards and Gold
Across All War Within World Quests (per week):
100+ Coffee Key Shards (enough for an extra key weekly)
~10,000 gold if you focus only on gold-rewarding world quests
Valor Stones: How Much and Where
Kesh Phase Diving Quests:
These can reward 80–150 Valor Stones per quest—much higher than non-phasing quests.
Non-Phasing Quests:
Typically reward 25–45 Valor Stones.
Luck Factor:
The best Valor Stone rewards are tied to phase diving quests, but not all phase diving quests give Valor Stones; some give gold, gear, or Coffee Key Shards instead. If you’re farming Valor Stones, you’ll want to prioritize phase diving quests that specifically reward them.
PvP Bonus
War Mode On:
If you toggle PvP (War Mode), you get 10% more gold and Resonance Crystals from world quests.
No bonus to gear, reputation, or Valor Stones.
World Quest Variety and Fun
New and Returning Quest Types:
Some world quests involve unique mechanics, like jumping into a ball and rolling over creatures, or collecting orbs to speed up.
Early weeks: You can’t mount in phase diving, and speed potions aren’t available, so some quests may take longer.
Some world quests are reminiscent of older expansions (Legion, BFA), including jumping and flying puzzles, and memory games.
Summary
Patch 11.2 bringssignificant changes and improvements to world quests:
All quests are visible regardless of phase, but you must check which phase is required.
Rewards are much better, especially in Kesh: more gold, better gear, and more upgrade materials.
PvP toggling gives a gold bonus.
World quests are more varied and engaging, with some fun mechanics and puzzles making a return.
Overall:
World quests in 11.2 are more rewarding and interesting than before, making them a worthwhile activity for both gearing and gold farming!
