How to get two Myth gear from the Delve Labyrinth
Watch the pass first
The screenshots in this guide are the frames from the myth-gear video and the follow-up short. The rules below are what was actually on the build.
The short version
Wah'du, at the door
After the labyrinth intro, Wah'du is the spirit at the entrance. On the map that entrance is the Chamber of Rites, the southern entryway. He does not send you at the nemesis. He sends you at a wing, and the objective is always the same shape: find the chamber, purge the intruders, come back.
The dialogue on the pass is a chain, not four unrelated dailies. The first ask is a test. Every turn-in after that acknowledges that you came back. If you only accept the first one and hearth, you are leaving fragments on the NPC.
The four asks on the pass
These are the quest windows from the video. Gold border on the map below means Wah'du sent us there on this pass. The other wings exist. They were not the turn-in in these frames.
Akil'zon's Roost
Impertinent fools. They dare to desecrate this ancient sanctum. The loas' rage resonates through my soul. If it is treasure you seek, drive the evil out of this sacrosanctum and you will be paid.
Halazzi's Lair
So, you return, intruder? The loas' fury is far from quelled, so you may still be of use. Head to Halazzi's Lair and dispose of the pests with haste.
The Cave Towers
You return once more. Perhaps there is more to you than greed. The loas' anger still echoes through these halls. Secure them. Let no trespasser remain.
Jan'alai's Refuge
Again, you answer the loas' call. Few outsiders would. The sanctum is being restored, but the work is not done. Travel to Jan'alai's domain and drive out the vermin that defile it.
The fragment, exactly
The tooltip on the Cave Towers reward is the whole craft. Do not guess it from the icon.
| Line | What the tooltip says |
|---|---|
| Item | Mythical Soul Fragment |
| Quality | Epic |
| Bind | Binds when picked up |
| Use | Combine three fragments to create a Venerated Loa Armament |
| Armament | Used to obtain a Myth 1/6 piece of armor of your choosing |
| Cooldown | 5 seconds on the combine |
| Quest pay | The fragment, plus 2,000 Undercoin |
Myth 1/6 is the track. Coverage of the same PTR item puts that piece at item level 318, the same band as a Myth 1/6 from the season. Confirm the number on the armament the day you click it. The tooltip in the video does not print the item level. It prints the track and the slot rule.
Where those chambers sit
The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan is nine chambers around a central hall. Wah'du's asks on this pass sit on the north, northwest, west, and east wings. Akil'zon's Roost is also the door toward the Speaker's Chamber, which is where Kindo'jan lives once a tier 8+ nine-chamber clear is done. That door is a different objective. Do not confuse the roost clear with the nemesis unlock.
| Chamber | Where | What it is | Wah'du on this pass |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chamber of Rites | South | The labyrinth's entryway. Wah'du. | Turn-in |
| Akil'zon's Roost | North | Also the entrance to the Speaker's Chamber, where Kindo'jan resides on higher tiers. | Yes |
| Jan'alai's Refuge | Northwest | Objectives that mix combat and movement. | Yes |
| Halazzi's Lair | West | Rituals. Pests, in his words. | Yes |
| The Cave Towers | East | Hash'ey and loa speakers were tested here. | Yes |
| Nalorakk's Rest | Northeast | Often necromancers. | Not in these frames |
| The Reliquary | Southwest | Safeguarded treasures. | Not in these frames |
| The Catacombs | Southeast | The dead rarely stay dead. | Not in these frames |
| Central Chamber | Middle | Access to most wings. Looters or spirits. | Hub only |
Craft the piece
- Unlock the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan and finish the intro. Wah'du is not there for a character who has not opened the door.
- Accept the named chamber. On the pass the first name was Akil'zon's Roost.
- Enter that wing and purge the intruders. The objective text is the clear condition, not a bonus.
- Turn in. Loot the Mythical Soul Fragment and the 2,000 Undercoin.
- Talk to him again. On the pass the next names were Halazzi's Lair, the Cave Towers, then Jan'alai's Refuge.
- At three fragments, use one. They combine into a Venerated Loa Armament. Five-second cooldown on the use.
- Use the armament and pick the armor slot. That is the myth piece. Stop hovering and click the hole you actually need.
Two pieces, and maybe more
Three fragments is one piece. The short is titled around two. Two pieces is six fragments. Four asks are on the screenshots, which is one piece and a fragment toward the second. He was still talking after the fourth. Do not assume the chain ends because you have already made one armament.
| Fragments | What you can craft | Undercoin if every turn-in pays 2,000 |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 1 Venerated Loa Armament | 6,000 |
| 4, as screenshotted | 1 piece, 1 fragment banked | 8,000 |
| 6 | 2 pieces. The short's number. | 12,000 |
| More than 6 | The "maybe more" in the short. Check him after the sixth before you leave the rites. | Scales with the turn-ins |
Rules that will waste the piece
- Tier. The quest text in these frames does not print a tier. Every current writeup of the same turn-in puts the clear at tier 8 or higher. If the live objective names a tier, that line wins. Do not fish this on a tier 3.
- Slot. Armor you choose. The Blessed Loa Armament from sturdy chests is the hero cousin and has the same hole: no weapon, no trinket. This one is the myth cousin.
- Bind. The fragment binds when picked up. It is not a warband token you mail to the alt in the bad chest.
- Crests. A Myth 1/6 still wants myth crests if you are pushing it up the track. The labyrinth is the slot. The crests are still the upgrade.
- Nemesis is separate. Kindo'jan opens after all nine chambers on tier 8 or higher. His chest is crests, a hero fragment, the toy, the mount check on a solo tier 11. It is not this armament.
- Coffers are separate. Three checkpoint coffers on a full clear are the champion pieces and the hero fragments. Three hero fragments combine into a hero piece. They do not combine into this myth piece.
| Source | What it is | Do not mix it up with |
|---|---|---|
| Wah'du | Mythical Soul Fragment. 3 = Venerated Loa Armament. Myth 1/6 armor, your slot. | The coffer |
| Bountiful coffer | Champion piece, plus a hero fragment. 3 hero fragments = a hero piece. | The myth armament |
| Sturdy / ancient chest | Blessed Loa Armament. Hero piece, your armor slot. Once per account on the chest. | The weekly-style Wah'du chain |
| Kindo'jan | Crests, hero fragment, toy, map, decor. Solo tier 11 is the mount check. | The fragment quest |
Before you go in
- Watch the turn-in, then the short. The short is the reason you talk to him twice.
- Know which armor slot is the hole. The armament will not fix a weapon.
- Have the tier-8 clear available if live keeps that gate.
- Turn in before you start a nine-chamber nemesis walk, or you will forget he is still standing in the rites.
- After the fourth fragment, talk to him again. The short is not titled "one piece and a souvenir."
